And that job becomes much more difficult when something you are wearing announces your presence with a bright, shiny reflection. The DOXA SUB 1000T Sharkhunter Military Edition combines the same outstanding features of the SUB 1000T Sharkhunter, and takes it a step further by adding a coating of black, hardened PVD. This adds much needed durability while maintaining the necessary overall “low visibility/low profile” of the watch case and bracelet.

A combat ready version of the classic Sharkhunter – The DOXA SUB 1000T Sharkhunter Military is a field-ready reinterpretation of the original 1967 DOXA SUB. It combines the style of the original Sharkhunter with contemporary technology. We have used the classic 1000T format to ensure the classic look and feel of the original DOXA SUBs in a new, modern watch.

PVD coating is the process of Physical Vapor Deposition. During this process, a thin film is applied to the watch case and bracelet to enhance the properties and performance of the stainless steel surface. Unlike metal paint coating, DOXA uses wear resistant TIALCN (Titanium-Aluminum-Carbon-Nitrate). This provides a hardness of more than 2000HV during the coating process. The black vapor interacts with the steel surface molecules to form a scratch resistant surface that gives additional durability to your DOXA SUB.

Beauty is more than skin deep – maybe 1000 meters? - The 1000T Sharkhunter Military is more than a tough looking DOXA SUB. It is a modern DOXA SUB in terms of its increased depth rating and improved components. While this is a watch with restrained good looks, it is also a dependable companion for all of life’s adventures!
